Kemenperin ‘Sentil’ Industri Pembuang Karbon Terbesar

 

Indonesianindustry.com – Pemerintah melalui Kementerian Perindustrian mendorong pelaku industri untuk menurunkan emisi gas rumah kaca pada tahun 2020 sebesar 26 persen.

“Dari 700 perusahaan penyumbang CO2 mencapai 114,41 mega ton. Dan terdapat 8 sub bidang industri yang lahap energi, yaitu industri semen, pupuk, petrokimia, besi dan baja, pulp dan kertas, tekstil, keramik,minyak goreng dan gula,” kata Kepala Badan Penelitian dan Pengembangan Industri Haris Munandar, di Kemenperin, Senin (15/2/2016)

Lanjutnya, Pemerintah mendorong pelaku industri untuk pelaksanaan alih teknologi untuk teknologi efesien. Salah satu teknologi yang digunakan adalah teknologi regenerative burner combustion system (RBCS)

From Scrap to Build: GSG's Steel Making

As the leading producer of steel, GSG have the complete and integrated production facilities to produce quality steels able to meet the various different steels. By being integrated, GSG have the capability to process steel from its raw form to the finished product form and ready to be used in various engineering and construction projects. All of these processes are being carried out inside a single complex area, and it is being made daily through a series of steps as follows:

  • The initial process is the collection of scrap metals or scraps stock and iron ore. The scrap stock is first graded for their quality when they arrive at our plants. Scraps that have been graded will be grouped and ready for the smelting process.
  • The next step is the smelting process, in this stage scrap metals and iron ore melted using Electric Arc Furnace (EAF), which will charge the scrap metals with electricity and turning it into molten metal’s. Also in this stage, in order to ensure the quality to meet the required standard, impurities element such as sulfur, phosphorous and the carbon element is removed, while alloying element are added to get the right chemical composition as required by the standard.
  • After the right chemical composition is acquired, the molten steel is then cast through the continuous casting machine into Billet, Bloom, Beam Blank, and Slabs.
  • In the final stage of this process, the semi-finished products will be sent to the finishing mill where it will be reheated to around ±1400˚C and then rolled into the desired shapes and dimensions into the final finished products.
  • All finished products will then be checked by our qualified Quality Control officer for ensure all the steel GSG produced matched with the international standard in which it requires to fulfill the orders. Every material that has passed the quality control process will be stored in our warehouses and ready to be distributed and used in every building and construction project.

  • Normalizing Furnace
  • Shot Blasting
  • Primer coating and other coating applications
  • Components fabrication (stamping, drilling, stamping, punching, shearing, cut-to-length, cut-to-shapes, welding).
